Sevier County committee approves Centerview site for new solid-waste facility
The Solid Waste Special Committee voted unanimously to proceed with the first proposed Centerview site for a new solid-waste facility; the Mayor’s Office plans to contract with Civil & Environmental Consultants on Aug. 11, 2023. Committee members also reviewed a five-year capital plan and raised operational concerns for the Allensville Road site.

The Sevier County Solid Waste Special Committee voted unanimously on Aug. 10, 2023, to accept the first proposed Centerview site for a new solid-waste facility and to move the selection forward for the next procedural steps. Commissioner Warren Hurst made the motion, and Commissioner Kent Woods seconded; the motion passed without objection.
