Benton County commissioners adopt parks master plan, budget insurance recoveries and approve notaries

The Benton County Commissioners voted on a batch of routine resolutions and administrative items at the July 19 meeting.
The commission adopted the Benton County Regional 10-Year Parks and Recreation Master Plan (Resolution 20210719-01). The body also approved budgeting of $4,964.18 received from reimbursements for the 2019 CDBG EMA project (Resolution 20210719-02), $20,158.59 in insurance recovery funds to cover airport roof damage (Resolution 20210719-03), and $2,750.00 in insurance recovery money for animal shelter fence damage (Resolution 20210719-04). The commission further appropriated $400.00 from the unassigned county general fund balance to provide a state health employee with a required pay increase (Resolution 20210719-05) and approved Resolution 20210719-06 as read. Each resolution was moved, seconded and approved on roll-call votes as recorded in the minutes.
The commission also approved the list of July 2021 notaries, including Angela Bannister and Logan Warren, and announced a special called meeting for July 27, 2021 with a public hearing at 5:00 p.m. and the commissioners' meeting to follow at 6:00 p.m. The meeting adjourned after a voice vote; the minutes note that Commissioner Rocky Presson said afterward that he had voted No by mistake.
