The Alpena County Board entered closed session at 6:53 p.m. on March 25 for a personnel matter and returned to open session at 7:09 p.m. Following the closed session, the board took up the sheriff’s request to convert a part-time correction officer to a full-time position and approved the request by roll call vote with all eight commissioners voting yes.
