Tift County held a public hearing on Feb. 20, 2025, to inform residents that the county is considering submitting a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) pre-application to the Georgia Department of Community Affairs for up to $1,000,000. The notice said the funds would be intended primarily to benefit low- and moderate-income people and could be used for housing, public facilities and economic development.
