Chairman Robert Parker opened a public hearing Dec. 6 on Conditional Use Request CU-022-002, a proposal to allow construction of a small commercial retail shop, an ice machine station and related improvements on Parcel 062 016 along Rye Patch Road. County Administrator Russell Simmons told the board the Long County/City of Ludowici Planning and Zoning Board had denied the conditional-use request.
