Long County commissioners deny conditional-use request for small retail site on Rye Patch Road

"The lot is roughly 0.48 acres, which is too small to be rezoned to commercial property," Wilkinson stated to commissioners during the hearing.
Following the public hearing, the board took the matter up again during its regular meeting. Commissioner Florence Baggs moved to approve Conditional Use Request CU-022-002; the motion failed, as recorded in the minutes. The minutes do not record supporting votes by name or additional public comment on the item.
