Irwin County board outlines certification process and deadlines, warns of legal risks
At its Sept. 10 meeting the Irwin County Board of Elections reviewed certification duties: a special meeting to compare voter lists is set for Nov. 8 at 3 p.m., formal certification at 5:15 p.m. the same day, and the board must reach a majority yes vote by 5 p.m. Nov. 12 or still certify and file discrepancy reports as required by state law.
