Heard County adopts revised board appointment policy, adds background-check consent
The Heard County Board of Commissioners unanimously adopted revisions to its Board Appointment Policy on Feb. 20, 2023, adding a criminal-background-check consent form, clarifying when a citizen is considered to have ‘served a term,’ and allowing the board to waive the process by majority vote for just cause.
