The board approved Resolution 2024-02 after Auditor Jason Gant reviewed 2024 Senate Bill 112; the county will charge a $50 processing fee for title transfers by mail, excluding active-duty military, with revenue retained in the Treasurer Fees account.

The Charles Mix County Board of Commissioners voted on June 27 to impose a $50 processing fee for vehicle title transfers handled by mail or in person when extra handling is required, beginning July 1, 2024.
