Durham County’s Board of Commissioners announced a series of appointments to boards and commissions at the June 23 meeting following a vote announced by County Attorney Larissa Williamson.
Appointments and reappointments included incumbents and new members across multiple bodies: the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission retained Scott Carter and Nathan Lee; the Board of Adjustment appointed Quandora Colvin and retained Justin Hall and William Vatavuk; the Durham County Women’s Commission retained several incumbents and added Maria Moreno, Alonza Pamplin and Cynthia Scarborough; and other appointments were made for the Durham Cultural Advisory Board, Durham Technical Community College Board of Trustees, and multiple advisory committees.
Larissa Williamson announced the voting results; the transcript lists which commissioners supported each nominee in the roll-call summary accompanying the appointment list provided in meeting materials. The nominations were confirmed during the meeting and recorded in the minutes.
