Madison County board approves contracts, grants and equipment purchases totaling hundreds of thousands

The board also authorized a $39,000 annual lump‑sum payment to the Madison County Soil and Water Conservation District under a memorandum of understanding.
Public Safety and 911 items passed included purchase of one 2019 Ford F‑150 (Morrow Brothers Ford) for $30,655 from Sheriff's capital outlay funds; approval of Hesco Bastion's low bid of $45,553 for side/back berms and shoot‑house walls for the Sheriff's shooting range (paid from range capital and federal forfeiture funds); and an intergovernmental agreement to reimburse the City of Wood River $120,347.80 for 911 associated costs, including CAD/RMS costs, to be paid from the 911 budget.
Additional action: the Planning & Development Committee approved contracting Heartlands Conservancy for stormwater and floodplain management consulting (not to exceed $45,000 annually) and a supplemental preliminary engineering agreement for Seiler Road with Sheppard, Morgan & Schwaab totaling $178,000 from the County Highway Fund for preliminary engineering services.
