He said a 30‑day public comment period is part of the next phase and staff tentatively plan a joint meeting with the Planning Commission and the Board of County Commissioners in February to review progress.

Bala noted members of the project team by name and praised their work; no vote or ordinance action was taken at the study session. Next steps are the February joint meeting and the scheduled public comment period as staff refine the draft update for later review by the Planning Commission and the Board.
