Cheatham County approves zoning change adding commercial campgrounds, approves Locker RV resort rezoning despite neighbors' objections
Cheatham County commissioners voted 8–4 on Feb. 27 to amend the county zoning resolution to allow commercial campgrounds and RV parks and approved a zone change to permit the Lockers Southern View RV resort on River Road after a contested public hearing in which residents raised concerns about traffic, river health and safety.

Cheatham County commissioners voted 8–4 on Feb. 27 to amend the county Zoning Resolution to add “Commercial Campgrounds and RV Parks” as a permitted use and, in a separate roll-call vote, to approve a zone change for developer Joey Locker to rezone three parcels on River Road from Agriculture to CMUPUD for a proposed Lockers Southern View Luxury Motorcoach Resort in the 5th Voting District.
