The board approved the minutes of the Aug. 26, 2025 regular meeting. Commissioners Buckley and Morrell moved to approve bills and payroll; a roll-call vote recorded all voting aye and the motion carried. The commission approved two sets of abatements: abatements #7144–7145 (motion by Buckley, seconded by Morrell) and abatements #7146–7149 (motion by Tokach, seconded by Zachmeier); both motions carried unanimously.
The commission authorized out-of-state travel for John Saiki and Chad Schneider to attend Caterpillar Governmental Training & Safety Days in Peoria, Illinois from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2, 2025; the travel authorization was approved unanimously.
Auditor Dawn R. Rhone reported total county funds expended from Aug. 27 through Sept. 11, 2025 of $1,239,404.42 and noted that a detailed list of checks is available during regular business hours at the Morton County Auditor’s Office. The meeting adjourned at 6:45 p.m.
