Long County approves TSPLOST resurfacing bid and buys LED safety signs for high-risk intersections

Commissioners awarded a $323,950.16 TSPLOST resurfacing contract to Georgia Asphalt Producers and approved LED stop signs and amber caution lights funded by TSPLOST for multiple high-risk intersections after a presentation by Road Superintendent Madison Smith; motions passed 4-0.

The Long County Board on Oct. 7 awarded the 2025 TSPLOST Road Resurfacing and Improvement Project to Georgia Asphalt Producers, Inc., for $323,950.16, covering 0.62 miles of Hill Street (between Buster Phillips Road and Old Macon Darien Road) and the Hoffer Lane cul-de-sac.
