County manager: EMS report missing; LMIG/LRA road projects drew no bids

County Manager Jason Weeks told the Georgetown‑Quitman County Commission that he had not received the EMS report for August and will provide that update at the next regular meeting.
Weeks said a bid opening held Sept. 4 for the county’s LMIG and LRA road projects produced no bids; he said the projects will be reissued for bid. He also reported that surveying for the LMIG projects by BIS Engineering is complete and that work on remodeling the board of elections office is progressing.
Weeks added that the University of Georgia has posted a job opening for a 4‑H educator. The minutes record no dollar amounts, bid tabulations or timelines for re‑advertising the road projects; those procurement details were not included in the minutes.
