Fayette County accepts $800,000 ARC grant for Sandy Creek Road intersection design
The Board accepted an $800,000 federal-aid grant from the Atlanta Regional Commission for preconstruction engineering on the Sandy Creek Road intersection project and authorized the chairman to sign a Project Framework Agreement with GDOT; the total estimated project cost is about $5 million.

Public Works Director Phil Mallon told the Board the county was awarded an $800,000 federal-aid grant from the Atlanta Regional Commission to fund preconstruction engineering (PE) for improvements at the Sandy Creek Road at Eastin Road/Sams Drive/Trustin Lake Drive intersection (project I-2).
