Dooly County approves architect, moves to acquire two elementary sites for DFCS facility

On March 15 the board also voted unanimously to authorize execution of an intergovernmental contract with the Dooly County School District to acquire the Unadilla and Vienna elementary school properties when the district completes and occupies the consolidated Pinehurst elementary school. The purchase price was set at $350,000, payable in three equal annual installments of $116,666.67, with terms and escrow conditions specified in the contract: the district will place installments in escrow until disbursement rules are met and will deliver a quitclaim deed when the district satisfies specified occupancy and certificate‑of‑occupancy conditions.
