Burleson County commissioners unanimously approve investment policy, grant commitment and routine items

Burleson County Commissioners Court voted unanimously on a package of routine and policy items during its May 27, 2025 meeting in Caldwell.

Commissioner Vincent Svec moved to approve the consent agenda, which included acceptance of the County Auditor's certification of financing proceeds and a special budget for Road & Bridge Precinct 3 Time Warrant 2025-01; Commissioner Dwayne Faust seconded the motion and the court recorded: "All voted Aye. None voted No." The court also approved the FY2025 Investment Policy on a motion by Commissioner Dwayne Faust, seconded by Commissioner Bobby Urbanosky.

The court approved a Letter of Commitment to maintain county-owned project elements located within the City of Caldwell's Comprehensive Multi-Modal Paths project under the Texas Department of Transportation's 2025 Transportation Alternatives grant program on a motion by Commissioner Svec, seconded by Commissioner Faust. Commissioners also approved a surety rider for Reserve Deputy Constable Precinct 4 Pacer Shane Lednicky and granted a mass-gathering permit for Elizabeth Lutheran Church for July 3, 2025; both motions passed unanimously.

The court authorized payment of bills following a motion by Commissioner Svec and second by Commissioner Urbanosky. The session concluded with a motion to adjourn by Commissioner Faust, seconded by Commissioner Svec; that motion also carried unanimously.
