At an information-technology study session on July 28, 2025, Assistant IT Director Zane Kinney said the county will distribute a communications survey to department executives to gather each division’s communication objectives and needs. Commissioner Wachsmith voiced support for the survey, and Assessment Coordinator Mackenzie Carter will help analyze responses.
Kinney also presented early findings on rebranding the county seal and logo and recommended keeping the current logo’s core design while modernizing its stylistic elements. The minutes record that the board agreed with Kinney’s recommendation.
The survey is intended to inform design choices and ensure any updated branding reflects departmental goals and county communications needs. No schedule for a public rollout of a revised logo was specified during the session.
The board concluded the IT study session at 11:26 a.m.
