Kittitas County updates fair and rodeo emergency plans; livestock response plan drafted
Event Center Director Kady Porterfield told the county commissioners the Event Center has updated its overall emergency plan, created a crisis communications plan, drafted a livestock-specific response plan after an animal-disease exercise, and will use a coordinated Emergency Response Team and shared radios during the fair; she is pursuing grant funding for radios.

Event Center Director Kady Porterfield briefed the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners on July 28 about strengthened emergency planning for the county fair and rodeo. Porterfield said the Event Center has updated its overall emergency plan and developed a dedicated crisis communications plan to ensure agencies can support one another during incidents.
