Commissioners authorize TANF grant, expand retirement coverage and approve medical‑plan changes

Lincoln County commissioners approved several agreements and plan changes during the Aug. 2 session intended to update county contracts and employee benefits.
The board authorized the chairman to sign a $50,000 contract with the Wyoming Department of Family Services for the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Community Partnership Initiative for the period Oct. 1, 2022, through Sept. 30, 2023. Commissioner Harmon moved the authorization and the motion was adopted.
Commissioner Hansen moved and the commission adopted an addendum to the county’s agreement with the Wyoming Retirement System; County Clerk April Brunski later explained the addendum updates an outdated provision and allows permanent part‑time employees who work 25 hours or more per week to participate in the retirement system in accordance with the system’s definitions.
The board also authorized the chairman to sign an amendment to Lincoln County’s medical plan for prescription drug services and approved a Group Disclosure Form with Underwriting Management Experts for the county medical plan. Those motions were recorded as adopted on the consent agenda.
County officials said the measures will be incorporated into existing contracts and presented for signature; the retirement addendum and plan amendment alter eligibility and administrative documentation rather than creating a new benefit line item.
