Calhoun County authorizes contracts, security upgrades and surplus property dispositions

Calhoun County commissioners on Nov. 14 approved a package of contracts, a small construction change order and multiple surplus property declarations.
Administrator Jonathan Gaddy presented an agreement with Dr. Blake Campbell of Calhoun County Veterinary Clinic to provide veterinary services to county Animal Control; commissioners authorized the chairman to sign the agreement on Calhoun County's behalf. The commission also authorized a financial-software agreement with Titanium Merchant Services for Woodland Park, pending final form.
The board approved a Vector Security agreement for installation and monitoring of security systems in the Administration Building, and authorized a Regroup subscription for the county EMA mass-notification system. Commissioners adopted a second amendment to the IAC Program Maintenance and Support Agreement, extending program assistance through Dec. 31, 2027.
An AIA Change Order to the ARPA-funded Jail Additions & Renovations project was approved to cover sprinkler-system modifications in the amount of $1,967.00. The commission also awarded the Public Nuisance Demolition/Removal bid to Wendy Thornton, as recommended by staff.
On surplus property, the commission declared a 2024 Ford truck surplus and approved donating it to Community Corrections, authorized the sale on GovDeals of a 2002 Dodge and 2006 Ford assigned to the Maintenance Department and a 2001 Dodge assigned to the Appraisal Department, and approved transfer of a service weapon to retiring Deputy Ervin at the sheriff's request. All actions were adopted unanimously by voice vote.
