The Calhoun County Commission unanimously awarded ARPA-funded construction contracts to Hurst Construction LLC for the Thankful Park and Choccolocco community centers and authorized up to five facility assessments by Bill Whittaker Architecture at up to $7,000 each.

The Calhoun County Commission unanimously voted Aug. 8 to award construction contracts for two American Rescue Plan Act-funded community centers to Hurst Construction LLC. County Administrator Jonathan Gaddy presented the resolutions, and commissioners approved both by voice vote.
