Parma Heights officials voted June 10 to award the Denison Road resurfacing contract to Crossroads Asphalt Recycling after receiving three competitive bids.
Service Director Sepik told council the engineer's estimate was $352,248 and that Crossroads submitted the lowest responsive bid at $346,917. "Crossroads came in as the lowest and best bid at $346,917," Sepik said, and the City Engineer recommended the award to that firm.
Council President Rounds made the motion to accept the recommendation; the motion was moved by Councilwoman Maruschak and seconded by Councilwoman DeSouza. Clerk Barbara Allen called the roll: ayes recorded from Palmisano, DeSouza, Kolezynski, Maruschak, Haase, Durichko and Rounds. The motion carried and the city will proceed with contract award and next steps per the engineer's recommendation.
The Service Department also reported Kingsdale residential construction is expected to be completed in September, weather permitting. The resurfacing contract award is the formal procurement action recorded in the meeting; contract execution and timeline will follow established city contracting procedures.
