Greenville approves landscape-maintenance contracts, Consumers Energy easement and MDOT tree-replacement contract

Councilperson Lehman also moved to award the landscape-maintenance contract for Areas 2–6 to JR Excavating, LLC of Sheridan, MI for an amount not to exceed $24,200; Councilperson Barrus seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Easement: Council approved granting an easement to Consumers Energy at 120 W. Cass Street to accommodate a parking-lot expansion for Lot 3; Councilperson Lehman moved and Councilperson Johnson seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
MDOT contract: Council approved Resolution No. 24-05 to accept Contract 24-5054 with the Michigan Department of Transportation for replacement of trees along M-91 from Benton to Montcalm Streets under a permit for special trunkline maintenance; the resolution authorizes City Manager George Bosanic and City Clerk Kristina Brott to act as signators and attests that local funds are available. Councilperson Moss introduced the resolution and Councilperson Lehman seconded; the resolution was adopted by recorded vote 7 Ayes.
These actions authorize staff to execute contracts, easement paperwork and the MDOT permit contract; the meeting minutes do not record additional project timelines, closure dates, or construction schedules on the public record.
