Fulton County approves replacement dispatch clocks, accepts grant-funded regional support contract

Fulton County commissioners on Dec. 23 approved replacement dispatch clocks for the county’s EMA/911 operations and signed a grant-funded regional support contract.
EMA/911 Director Brian Barton told the board the dispatch clocks in use are over 20 years old and are in “dire need of replacement.” Barton said the county’s Pre Alert system is in place and that information has been distributed to local fire departments.
The board approved a ComPros quote for two dispatch clocks, including hardware and installation, at a cost of $4,940.00. Commissioners also approved a 2026 Mission Critical Partners Regional Support Contract for Professional Services; Barton said that contract is fully grant funded. Both motions were recorded as passing with all in favor.
The equipment purchase is intended to modernize the county’s dispatch timing systems; the regional contract will provide technical and operational support under a grant-funded agreement.
