Taylor City Council opened the public hearing Dec. 11 on ordinance 2026‑02, a special‑use permit request to allow a short‑term rental at 3004 Don Hill Lane. Staff told council the Planning & Zoning Commission recommended disapproval (4–1) and staff likewise recommended denial because of neighborhood concerns; staff suggested that, if the council ultimately approved a short‑term rental, it limit the permit term to one year so compliance can be reviewed.
