The Oakley City Council voted Feb. 11 to accept the results of a grant‑funded study of the State Road 32 corridor that covered Summit County, Kamas, Francis and Oakley and to pursue follow‑up planning and feasibility work. The study’s preferred scenario calls for preserving open rural spaces, maintaining a two‑lane highway, promoting mixed‑use, higher‑density centers, and — uniquely for Oakley — siting three roundabouts within city limits to address safety and circulation issues.
