Bay Minette council approves permit fee waiver, authorizes cemetery maintenance bids

The City Council of the City of Bay Minette unanimously approved two resolutions and routine financial items during its Jan. 19, 2021 regular meeting at City Hall.
Mayor Robert A. Wills called the meeting to order. Councilmember William Taylor moved to approve the consent agenda, including the minutes of the Jan. 4 meeting and work session; Councilmember Pete Sellers seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
The council approved payables totaling $121,133.85. Councilmember Mike Phillips moved to approve the payables and Councilmember Matt Franklin seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
On business items, the council approved Resolution Number 0121-03, a partial permit fee waiver for the Baldwin County Corrections Center expansion project. Councilmember Mike Phillips moved for approval and Councilmember Shannon Clemmons seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
The council also approved Resolution Number 0121-04, authorizing the solicitation of bids for cemetery landscape maintenance services. Councilmember Matt Franklin moved to approve the resolution; Councilmember Pete Sellers seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
With no further business, Councilmember William Taylor moved to adjourn, Councilmember Matt Franklin seconded, and the meeting was adjourned. The minutes were attested by Mayor Robert A. Wills and Tammy Smith, City Administrator/Finance Director.
