The Oneida County Criminal Justice Coordinating Committee reviewed subcommittee reports on Feb. 12 showing incremental program growth across diversion, OWI Court, and the OC Community Response Team.
The Diversion subcommittee report in the meeting packet listed 8 active participants and 11 referrals; minutes note 13 referrals so far this year and one active participant under a new dosage model. Committee materials said staff had shared Justice Point information with defense attorneys as part of outreach.
The OWI Court subcommittee reported the program went live in July 2025 and currently has four active participants. The minutes state the committee plans to add another therapist, is expanding incentives with community partners, and that “all drug tests completed have all come back negative.”
The OC Community Response Team (OCCRT) reported 26 new referrals in Quarter 4: the team accepted 16 participants, 12 participants exited the program and 7 had successful completions. The voluntary program served 84 total participants in the quarter, welcomed two new peer recovery workers, and hosted three sober events. Staff are finalizing an annual report for presentation at the March meeting.
