The Stanley Town Council voted unanimously on Sept. 8 to approve a resolution authorizing the sale of the existing Stanley Police Department building at 230 South Main Street, Deputy Town Manager Steven Denton told the council.
Denton explained that construction of a new police facility is moving forward and that the town intends to structure any sale so that the closing will occur after the new facility is completed. Council Member Marsha Miskelly moved to approve the resolution; Council Member Drew Stewart seconded the motion and the council approved it on a 5-0 vote.
