WICMAC formally creates Economic Resilience Committee to study coastal processing and permitting issues
After discussion and public input, the council voted to form an Economic Resilience Committee to examine coastal economic risks (including the Westport permit issue). The committee will refine a proposed letter and schedule technical briefings with agencies and stakeholders.

The Washington Coastal Marine Advisory Council voted on March 18 to form an Economic Resilience Committee charged with examining coastal economic risks and potential policy responses. The motion to establish the committee was made on the floor by Mike Norton and seconded; after a brief public comment period the council approved the motion by voice vote.
