Summary
Councilors unanimously approved transfers and appropriations including auditor furniture and uniforms, a $104,001 appropriation for an online records search system, and a $38,000 correction to superior court health insurance caused by a clerical error.
On Feb. 17 the Fulton County Council approved a slate of routine transfers and appropriations, including funding for the auditor's office and a correction to superior court health insurance.
The council approved transfers that cover auditor furniture and uniform purchases and approved a $104,001 appropriation to pay ArcaSearch LLC to create an online searchable database of flat books, transfer books, minutes, resolutions and ordinances.
On the superior court budget, the judge acknowledged a clerical error left the office short roughly $38,000 in health-insurance funding. "I will admit that's my fault. Fat finger fat finger typing in the budget," the judge said during the meeting. The council approved the additional appropriation unanimously while several members criticized early-year additional appropriations and urged stronger budget checks.
All listed transfers and appropriations passed by unanimous vote.
