Multiple speakers raise election integrity concerns as board certifies items

A large group of public commenters used the March 26 meeting to press the board on election integrity, citing voter‑roll anomalies, chain‑of‑custody concerns for ballot dropoffs and alleged machine or tally discrepancies.

Speakers documented specific incidents and submitted affidavits and observer reports. Lynn Muslin (speaker 31) urged the board not to certify election results until voter rolls were cleaned. Other speakers described receiving ballots for deceased people, claimed mismatches in precinct ballots versus counted totals, and recounted observer disturbances at ballot transport and scanner closing procedures. One observer described concerns about vans delivering vote drives and the inability to identify receiving personnel at the Registrar of Voters facility.

Registrar of Voters staff were not present in extended testimony at the dais during these public comments, and the board proceeded to receive and file the items before moving on with other business. No certifying action was reversed at the meeting.

The comments were detailed and varied across speakers, and board members acknowledged receipt of the public input; supervisors suggested staff follow up through the registrar or appropriate offices for items that require investigation.

What’s next: Members of the public were advised to submit observer reports and evidence to the Registrar of Voters and to follow up with county staff and law enforcement as appropriate. The board did not delay certifications at this meeting.
