Christina Escalante told the council she had written the city about a 287(g) agreement she said the Boca Police Department signed with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement several months ago. She said the agreement appears on ICE’s website but not on the police or city websites and asked for a public page that explains the city’s policies on identification, masking of officers, and interactions with federal immigration authorities.
