Council to consider fire-code adoption, code supplement and two appointments at Monday meeting
Staff recommended adopting the Ohio Fire Code and updating City Code Supplement 24; Tony announced recommended appointments of Dr. Joseph Necira to the Arts and Beautification Commission and Yolanda Stevens to the Citizen Complaint Review Board, all scheduled for Mondays vote.

During the March 16 work session, staff asked council to move several ordinance and appointment items to the next regular meeting. John (filling in for the absent inspector) recommended adopting the Ohio Fire Code locally so the city can perform routine enforcement; inspectors completed training and printed code copies are expected July 2026. Staff noted the states online version is the current reference and recommended the ordinance follow the normal two-reading process.
