Council approves DRI amendment removing Bridal Station parcel to clear path for Tri-Rail-area development

The Boca Raton City Council voted unanimously on May 13 to adopt Resolution 63-2025, amending the Boca Technology Center development-of-regional-impact (DRI) master plan to remove approximately 6.6 acres (the Bridal Station property at 680 Yamato Road) and reduce the DRI acreage from about 224.44 to 217.84 acres.
Senior Planner Peter Begovich presented the amendment and its history: the city acquired about 300 acres in 2000 as part of the Blue Lake DRI, later renamed the Boca Technology Center DRI, and subsequent approvals facilitated development of BRIC (the former IBM campus), Boca Village and other projects.
