Pacific County adopts updated economic development project list

Pacific County commissioners voted on Nov. 25 to adopt an updated overall economic development plan project list following a public hearing.

Staff described that the local economic development entity (referred to in the transcript as 'Peacock') submitted an updated project list that removed completed items and re-ranked remaining projects. The board had previously approved projects earlier in the year by resolution (referenced in the record as resolution 2025-047) and was being asked to adopt the housekeeping update. A motion to adopt resolution number "20 25 dash 0 6 4" to adopt the Pacific County overall economic development plan project list and rescind resolution "20 25 dash 0 4 7" was moved and carried on voice vote.

A commissioner asked whether Peacock had discussed how far down the ranked list it expected to fund projects; staff said funding and contract timing have sometimes led to multi-year carryover and that the list will evolve over time. The board closed the public hearing and approved the resolution.

The decision updates the county’s official project list and authorizes staff to proceed under the adopted resolution.
