Calhoun County declares, abates and dismisses nuisance properties across Anniston, Jacksonville and Piedmont

Mr. Mize also recommended dismissing public-nuisance findings for five properties: 1409 Montevallo Rd., Weaver (Shane & Haley Davis); 119 Maxann Dr., Anniston (Shane Scheid); 1304 Montevallo Dr., Weaver (Joseph Riley); 15 Timike Dr., Anniston (Marco Nava); and 101 E 54th St., Anniston (Earline Haynes c/o Ralph Haynes). Commissioner Shears moved to adopt the dismissals; Commissioner Wilson seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
Separately, Mr. Mize presented a list of 12 properties he recommended be declared public nuisances (addresses include 408 N Hunter St., Anniston; 312 W. Blue Mountain, Anniston; 913 W 52nd St., Anniston; 1511 Pelham St., Anniston; 4073 Pleasant Valley Rd., Jacksonville; 5605 Chandler St., Anniston; 221 W 43rd St., Anniston; 149 Craig Dr., Anniston; 161 Craig Dr., Anniston; 0 Craig Dr., Anniston; 79 Fieldstone Way, Jacksonville; and 98 Phoenix Dr., Anniston). Commissioner Henderson moved to declare the properties as recommended; Commissioner Patterson seconded; the motion passed by unanimous voice vote.
Owners of the properties had been notified of the meeting but did not appear; the resolutions are recorded in the Commission's files.
