At its Jan. 8, 2026 meeting, the Calhoun County Commission issued a proclamation recognizing January as Human Trafficking Prevention Month, approved multiple public-nuisance resolutions, granted a liquor-license transfer and several administrative agreements, and heard Sheriff remarks on new deputies including a litter deputy funded by the Commission.
