Planning board approves masonry-with-PVC compromise after dispute over Paradise Bank wall
On Nov. 7, 2024, Boca Raton's Planning & Zoning Board rejected the applicant's request to keep an as-built masonry wall at Paradise Bank and instead approved staff's amended recommendation requiring masonry or precast wall at the property line with PVC only where required for Florida Power & Light access (vote 6–0).

The Planning & Zoning Board of the City of Boca Raton on Nov. 7 voted to approve a staff-amended variance for a boundary wall at the Paradise Bank site at 3800 North Federal Highway, directing that masonry or precast wall be installed at the district boundary line and that PVC fencing may be used only where necessary to accommodate Florida Power & Light infrastructure.
