Trina Simmons asked the Anderson City Board of Works on Feb. 24, 2026, to award multiple demolition contracts to the lowest responsive bidders. For the first group, she asked the board to award four properties to JA Shroyer with amounts listed as: 2407 Lafayette St., $4,470; 131 E. Oak St., $5,780; 2708 Walton St., $4,400; and West 19th St., $4,200. The board approved the awards by voice vote after a motion by Board member and a second from the chair.
