On March 11, 2026, the Stark County Board of Commissioners moved into executive session at 1:43 p.m. first under O.R.C. 121.22(G)(3) to consult with Assistant Prosecutor Deborah Dawson about pending litigation, with County Administrator Brant Luther and Budget Director Chris Nichols present. After the first executive session the board immediately entered a second executive session under O.R.C. 121.22(G)(8) to consider confidential information related to a request for economic development from another political subdivision. Commissioner Alan Harold did not participate in the second session.
