Benton County approves Patava land-use change, denies Erickson request

The Benton County Board of Supervisors heard multiple land-use matters on March 10, 2026. At 9:15 a.m. the board approved Cassandra Patava’s request to change approximately one acre in part of the SE 1/4 SE 1/4 of Section 13-84-9 to allow a single-family dwelling with an attached shop. Andrea Morris presented the technical review under the Benton County Agricultural Land Use Preservation Ordinance, noting the site’s CSR average is below 70 and therefore not classified as high-quality farmland. The board recorded that the site will require a permitted septic system, a private water well and a new driveway approved by the Secondary Roads Department; after no further public comment, the board closed the hearing and voted to approve the change.
