Fulton County to replace 20-year-old dispatch clocks, approves regional support contract

Fulton County commissioners approved Dec. 23 purchase of two replacement dispatch clocks and a regional support contract intended to support mission-critical communications.
Brian Barton, EMA/911 Director, told the board the dispatch clocks are more than two decades old and 'in dire need of replacement.' Barton said 'Pre Alert' is in place and that the information has been sent out to the fire departments and provided an update on trainings completed and scheduled. Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved to approve the ComPros quote for two dispatch clocks, including hardware and installation, in the amount of $4,940.00; the motion carried with the notation 'All in favor.'
Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve and execute the 2026 Mission Critical Partners Regional Support Contract for Professional Services; the board noted the contract is fully grant funded and the motion was approved unanimously. The approvals allow EMA/911 to proceed with hardware installation and to accept grant-funded professional support to maintain regional emergency communications.
