The Waupaca County Board on Jan. 19 adopted Resolution No. 43 (2020-2021) to continue the county's self-insured worker's compensation program.
The resolution notes the Wisconsin Worker's Compensation Act allows political subdivisions to self-insure if they report compensable injuries and comply with the Act and departmental rules. The Finance and Human Resources Committee recommended continuation of the self-funded program in compliance with Wisconsin Administrative Code DWD 80.60(3). The resolution authorizes the Human Resources Director to forward certified copies to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.
Supervisor Jan L. Lehrer moved adoption; Supervisor Fred Zaug seconded. The motion carried without a negative vote.
