The Waupaca County Board of Supervisors voted Jan. 19 to accept a $5,000 donation from the Anthony Family Foundation to support the county's Nutrition Program.
The board adopted Resolution No. 38 (2020-2021), which states the county's policy requires a resolution to accept donations over $1,000. The resolution directs that "the amount of $5,000.00 will be placed in a donation restricted account until further budget action is taken to expend the funds." The resolution was recommended by the Department of Health and Human Services Board and the Finance Committee.
Supervisor Jan L. Lehrer moved to adopt the resolution; Supervisor James Nygaard seconded. The motion carried without a negative vote.
The board did not identify a specific spending plan for the funds at the meeting; disposition of the donation will occur through future budget action. The county clerk recorded the resolution as passed on Jan. 19, 2021.
