At its April 6 meeting, the Pendleton County Commission unanimously approved several administrative items.
The commission signed a records grant agreement with the West Virginia Division of Culture & History for $9,091, with a 10% county match to support back-indexing in the County Clerk’s Office. Commissioners approved the 2021–2022 West Virginia Counties Risk Pool insurance proposal for liability and workers’ compensation with a listed contribution of $69,786 and a dividend credit of $1,182, bringing the county’s net contribution to $68,604. The commission also signed the annual memorandum of agreement with the WVU Cooperative Extension Service.
On motion of Carole Hartman, commissioners unanimously passed a resolution designating April as Fair Housing month. The meeting record shows the clerk presented multiple administrator and executor appointments, and the commission confirmed those probates and appointments on motion of Carl Hevener.
Commissioners approved several settlements and allowances across county funds (General County Fund, Coal Severance Fund, Magistrate Court Fund, 911 Fund, Home Confinement Fund, Parks & Recreation Fund, and the Clinton Hedrick Community Building) and approved an exoneration for Greer Industries for $919.04. The commission adjourned until April 20, 2021 on unanimous motion.
