The House Insurance Committee approved an amendment to House Bill 220 that sets the bill’s provisions to apply to health benefit plans delivered, issued for delivery, or renewed on or after January 1, 2028. Vice Chair Craig moved the amendment; the committee approved it without objection.

During the opening business of the House Insurance Committee, Chair Lambton called House Bill 220 for its fifth hearing. Vice Chair Craig moved amendment “17 87‑2,” which he explained specifies that the bill’s provisions apply to health benefit plans delivered, issued for delivery, or renewed on or after Jan. 1, 2028.
